If you're going to go to France, be sure that the town of Blois is in your itinerary. This little town, situated on the banks of the River Loire, is right on your way if you're going to the city of Orleans from the city of Tours or vice versa. Once you get there, be sure to get a car hire in Blois Rail Station. It is absolutely necessary if you want to see the sights that this town has to offer, particularly the magnificent Chateau de Blois at the center of the town. Right across the Chateau is a mansion dedicated to the famous magician, Houdini. This mansion is named Maison de la Magi. It's a wonderful place to visit, especially if you've always been interested in Hudini's exploits. In between these two gargantuan structures are some nice restaurants and cafes where you can have a sumptuous meal. Also, be sure to check out the bridge that was built over the Loire River and also the Cathedral. These places are well worth your time if you want to go sightseeing.
