Everything was very straightforward, I was asked to buy additional insurance by Avis for breakdown etc, so it would have been useful to understand this wasn't included in the quoted price - if it was stated it wasn't obvious. It would be useful for you or the rental companies to provide more information on how pick up and drop offs work at the specific airports. Finding the drop off place a San Francisco was not great, as the address stated and google maps puts them in slightly different places - and the attendant joked that finding the garage wasn't easy.

The only minor issue has to do with the windshield of the car. What ever cleaning product that was used was vey greasy and difficult to see thru the steaks. First stop was the Store for some windex wipes. Everything else was perfect

Being the capital city of Massachusetts, Boston has one of the busiest airports in the entire United States. Furthermore, known as the Logan International Airport, this state of the art facility is known to facilitate a passenger inflow of more than 27 million travellers per annum. Spread over nearly 2400 acres, the Boston Airport has 6 distinct runways to accommodate all the major domestic and international airlines including British Airways, Lufthansa, American Airlines and US Airways. The international carriers connect the city to various destinations in Canada, Europe and Mexico. Besides commercial airlines, it is also served by more than half a dozen-cargo carriers like FedEx, UPS and DHL.

The ground transportation inside the Boston airport is quite organized and regulated by the airport authorities. Cheap car hire services are available in plenty outside the airport. However, the authorities have placed a restriction on the number of cabs and cars that are allowed to park outside the terminals. Of course, taking a semi-public transportation, even those that are outside the airport might not be advisable due to the high cost of their services. If you wish to make use of a car hire service, you must note that each terminal has a set of authorized dealers in terms of car hire services and no car hire is authorized to be done at any place other than these designated locations.
